                                                          What Have I Learned In ELA this Unit
         
               Our first unit in English Language Arts was Challenges: Opportunities and Obstacles.  In this unit we read eight short stories and one play. My favorite short story was Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket by Jack Finney. In the story a man chooses to work rather then going out on a date with his wife. As his wife left the air took the yellow piece of paper out the window. Tom whom is the main character went out on the little ledge to retrieve it. When he was on the ledge he almost fell a couple times and then got stuck outside because the window shut. When he finally got back into his apartment he realized that there is more to life then work. Tom decided he need to spend more time with his wife.
  I think the big message that I got out of this was that there is more to life than work and that you need to spend time with the people that matter the most..... your family.

Here is an interactive game from discovery education.com. It is called fishy fractions. You have to match the pie graph with the fraction or vise versa. It is really fun! You could use it in math class when you work on fractions. It starts of easy and then gets harder.

Happy Leap Year to all!! :) Today at school over half the class is missing because of curling. Do to the lack of students we are cleaning, organizing, and doing a box day. It is going to be a relaxing day for me since I am done most of my work already! After this post I will have one less thing to do!! Yay me!! haha

This Christmas I am looking forward to a lot of things. I am looking forward to seeing my little cousins and my family from Saskatoon (mom's side of the family) and my dads side of the family (the neighbors). I am going to eat like there is no tomorrow and open gifts like a mad man. On boxing day I am going to go shopping and buy all the gifts that I wanted but didn't get for Christmas.  On this coming Saturday I am going to go finish up my Christmas shopping and wrap them when I get home. My mom is the hardest to shop for but my brother is the easiest to shop for. In January I'm going to California with my grandma and with my little cousins. This Christmas is going to be the best on ever!!!!

This weekend!

This weekend is going to be amazing! It is going to be awesome because of the cadets sport weekend! It is held at the Dezil School and flight from over the whole province will be there. There is a dance and games and amazing pizza!! It is going to be the best weekend in December ever!! I think it will be better then Christmas!

ME and my friends were sitting in a class and we had free time so we took some awesome pictures of us and it got me thinking about what my friends mean to me.  My best friends don't even seem like friends they seem like my sisters. We tell each other everything and we trust each other. My friends and I are so close its kind of scary. Sometimes we know what we are all thinking. I love my "sisters" they are amazing!

YA Snow!!

Ya snow! We got our first snow day. The horses were all worked up and excited.  My puppy Bitts is a Great Pyrenees and is as white as snow except for her nose so she blended in nicely, she nearly scared me when she sat up this morning. Gussey was sleeping in his awesome little dog house, and Fritz he was sleeping under the bench. It is a mystery to me how he even fits under there any more because he's gotten so big. My cat Typsy hates the snow and lifts her feet to the sky when she walks through it, it is so cute to watch. I can't wait till I get of my crutches so I can enjoy the snow with all my animals! :)

Airedales

I want an Airedale puppy! They are so cute!

 
They grow up to be real tall with long legs. They grow very attached to their owners and are good guard dogs. They are very trust worthy but a little stubborn to train, but other wise are awesome pets.

Last Words to My Best Friend

Some people think it's crazy to love an animal with all your heart and nothing smaller but I say that's me. I love my dogs with all my my heart and nothing smaller and I can't live without both of them, but now I have to. I miss you Sandy and I hope you  like heaven with Grandma but just know I still love you down here on Earth. Remember to mark your territory well, there's coyotes everywhere.
I only wish I could have scratched your belly and kissed your little head one more time and told you I love but now its too late. I hope you hear my prayers and listen. I love you and miss you lots.

Sooooo much snow!!!!!!

I use to love the snow but now we have too much!! The snow banks on the side of the rode here in small town Saskatchewan are at least 10 feet high! (well to me they look 10 feet high) Today at school 2 out of the 3 buses did not run. so out of a school with 48 kids the school is very empty.

!!!I wish summer would come quicker!!!
